Jon Daniel Life Celebration Service
John Newell Daniel passed away suddenly on June 23, 2024 on the way home from a much-needed vacation. He is survived by his wife Connie, his two daughters Lidia and Jessie as well as his children with Connie, Courtney, Joshua and Jordyn. He also left behind many friends and co-workers he called friends..
His sisters, and his mother as well.
John was a man filled with love and hope For the future. He understood what it was to struggle and leave those struggles behind. He had a heart for people who were broken and in need and Jon always showed those people love and kindness and did what he could to help anybody that needed it. Jon would stop on the side of the road to buy somebody lunch, he would help the homeless by putting a tab at a nearby fast food joint so they can go daily and eat what they wanted. If anybody needed anything, Jon would do everything in his power to help, whether it be fixing a car, paying bills or just to talk. Jon would often stop at car accident and help those that were hurt, and was willing to be a witness if they needed it. he was always willing to assist other people with their work issues or personal issues and set aside his own just so these people could feel love.
Jon didn’t care what your background was or current state of living. He never condemned anybody as he understood firsthand what it’s like to fall and to struggle and to be rejected. Jon would often tell people how following the Lord had changed his life and how HE (Jesus) could also change yours. Jon became Jesus‘s hands and feet by the actions that he portrayed every day to those around him.
Jon had a great sense of humor. He was always playing practical jokes on people, always laughing uncontrollably, but also Jon was real and sometimes raw.
He never sugar coated anything and you never had to wonder what was on his mind because Jon would tell you whether you wanted to know or not.
Underneath his somewhat tough exterior, was a humble, gentle, loving spirt that wanted to make everyone happy and feel they mattered and had a purpose. He was taken to soon and the void that is now left will never be filled completely as there was only one Jon Daniel.
