Sunday Morning Worship
This message confronts us with a piercing question from Matthew 23: Are we living with integrity, or are we modern-day Pharisees? We discover Jesus addressing religious leaders who held authority but lacked authenticity—they preached standards they refused to live by themselves. The challenge hits close to home as we examine whether our faith is genuine or performative. Do we impose rules on others while exempting ourselves? Are we more concerned with titles and recognition than with truly serving? The sermon calls us to move beyond 'do as I say, not as I do' Christianity and instead embody the faith we profess. As we approach Christmas, we're reminded that the greatest gift ever given—salvation through Jesus—isn't meant to be hoarded but shared. The most convicting question emerges: We may know who Jesus is, but does Jesus know us? This isn't about intellectual knowledge but intimate relationship. We're challenged to spend these days before Christmas not just celebrating Christ's birth, but ensuring we're actually known by Him and then introducing others to Him. The call is clear: live above reproach, serve without seeking applause, and give away the gift of salvation to someone who desperately needs it.
