Walking in the Authority You Have Already Been Given
In this candid and impassioned message, the pastor opens with a personal confession, acknowledging that he has sacrificed his family on the altar of ministry and calling the congregation to greater participation in the life of the church. From there, the sermon pivots to a central theological challenge: believers have been given divine authority and spiritual power through Jesus Christ, yet most do not walk in it. Drawing from Luke 10 and the account of the seventy-two disciples returning with joy, the pastor urges the congregation to recognize that they have been sent, just as those disciples were sent, and that the same authority given to them has been given to every genuine follower of Jesus. The sermon weaves together personal testimonies, biblical narrative, and direct exhortation to press the church toward active faith, bold prayer, and confident use of the authority Christ has delegated to his people.
